cortiSense is a breakthrough stress monitoring sensor that enables efficient at-home cortisol testing. It has been developed by Nutrix, a Swiss health-tech startup in collaboration with FHNW, Switzerland and other leading technical universities. The People Who Make It Happen
Maria founded Nutrix to make the transition from sick-care to healthcare a reality. She leverages her experience in medical devices and digital dentistry, where she led workflow solutions management as a Global Director at Straumann Group. With an MBA and inspired by the MIT Innovation and Technology Bootcamp, she has been named a Digital Shaper in Switzerland and a Woman to Watch by Forbes Poland. She speaks four languages fluently and is learning two more.
After completing his Master’s in Biomedical Engineering and conducting research on microrobotics for biomedical applications at ETH Zurich, Jemish delved into nanotechnology during his doctoral and postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia. He applies his expertise in micro- and nano-fabrication, nano-materials and wearables, at Nutrix, where he leads the development of the groundbreaking cortiSense sensor. For Jemish, the more challenging the task, the better.
During her PhD in Biomedical Engineering where she focused on biomedical image processing and AI, she committed to bringing high-tech health solutions out of university labs and into people’s hands. She draws on Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, and Deep Learning research she conducted at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. At Nutrix, she leads data and software development teams. She still enjoys hands-on programming when she can.
Cristian is a medical doctor, specializing in Diabetes and Clinical Epidemiology. He brings to Nutrix his experience in leading a diabetes digital health strategy at the Ministry of Health in Chile. It covered 190,000 people with type 2 diabetes and saved $600 per person per year. With gSense, the initiative in Chile was expanded to the prevention and management of obesity and overweight.
Gabriel enriches Nutrix with over 30 years of experience in sales and management in technology industry. A people person with a broad network of industry contacts, he led market expansions and partnerships as a General Manager for LATAM at Cisco. An expert in sales strategy, he coached next-generation leaders. He loves making the impossible possible.
Omar ensures our internal processes run smoothly and align with ISO standards. Prior to joining Nutrix, he supported marketing efforts at both B2C and B2B companies. He graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and his list of professional certificates in management and marketing has been growing since. Hungry for new health tech and kind to humans, he leads the onboarding of new team members.
